BETA Asset Status Workings

What is Life Cycle Status?

The lifecycle status for maintenance refers to the various stages an asset goes through during its operational life, including periods of activity, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning. These status' provides insight into whether an asset is currently in use, undergoing maintenance, or out of service. This process assists facilitating scheduling maintenance activities, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the asset's lifecycle. 


This help article will cover the following:


Life Cycle Status Types:

Operating:

  • No Restrictions
  •  When changing to operating from non-operating if maintenance were inactive you need to remember to reapply new plans 

Non - Operating - Maintenance Plan Active:

  • No change other than banner warning non-operating 
  • Everything else still active and can be actioned 

Non - Operating - Maintenance Plan Not Active:

  • Maintenance Plans Removed from Assets • Non-Reversible action
  • Cannot action if work order or task is open related to maintenance plan 
  • Everything else still active and can be actioned • No blocking of operations so if someone goes and reconnects maintenance plan after asset status is set the plan will be live 
  • Adhoc work orders will still notify 
  • All other notifications will still be active 

Decommissioned:

  • Disconnect plant from all client schemas as well as maintenance plans
  • Non – Reversible action 
  • Can still have asset status changed.
  • No blocking of operations so if someone goes and reconnects maintenance plan or client connection after asset status is set the plan will be live. 
  • Ad hoc work orders will still notify
  • All other notifications will still be active 



Creating Lifecycle Status:

  1. Go to Configuration Panel
  2. Select the Maintenance Module
  3. Select the Lifecycle Status tab
  4. Select 'Create Lifecycle Status' button
  5. Enter the Lifecycle Status' Name, Type, and Description (And Maintenance Plan Status if Non-operating is selected).
  6. Press 'Submit.



Updating Plant Lifecycle Status:

NOTE: When editing lifecycle statuses that have already been assigned, the changes do not apply retrospectively to plants that have already been associated with those statuses

In the plant profile, please complete the below steps:

  1. Select the 'Advanced' button
  2. Select 'Update Lifecycle Status' dropdown item 
  3. Select the status from the dropdown menu
  4. Press 'Submit'
