What is a Task Activity Type?
Activity types categorise maintenance tasks based on their purpose and approach, guiding the management of assets and resources effectively. The four maintenance types are as follows:
Corrective Maintenance: Reactive repairs to restore functionality after a failure or malfunction.
Inspection: Proactive assessments to identify potential issues or deterioration.
Modification: Changes or upgrades to improve performance or functionality.
Preventative Maintenance: Scheduled servicing to prevent failures and prolong asset lifespan.
How do I Make Task Activity Type a Mandatory Field?
By default the Activity Type field is set as optional. To update this field to mandatory upon creation of tasks or task templates, please follow the below instructions:
Go to your Avatar and select the 'Configuration Panel' option
Go to the 'Maintenance' module
Toggle the 'Require Activity Type when users create task and task templates' option (See below image)
