What is Task Priority?

Task priority determines urgency within work orders, guiding resource allocation and deadline management. High-priority tasks receive more attention, aiding risk mitigation and enhancing productivity. Utilising task priority will help optimise workflow efficiency and ensure timely completion of work orders.

The default priority items are as follows:

  1. Critical

  2. High

  3. Medium

  4. Low

  5. Unknown

How do I View my Priority Configuration?

To view your priority configuration, please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to your Avatar and select the 'Configuration Panel' option

  2. Go to the 'Maintenance' module

  3. Select the 'Priority' tab

How to Add a Custom Priority

To add a custom Priority, please follow the below steps:

  1. Select the '+ New Priority' button

  2. Enter the fields in the new Priority form

    • Rank (Mandatory)

    • Label (Mandatory)

    • Description (Optional)

    • Action Required (Optional)

  3. Select Submit

How to Edit or Delete a Priority

To edit or delete an existing priority, follow the below steps:

  1. Select the priority you wish to modify.

  2. A side panel will appear, revealing two icons: a pencil icon for editing and a trash can icon for deletion.

    • Click on the pencil icon to make any edits to the priority

    • Click on the trash can icon to delete the priority.

How do I Make Priority a Mandatory Field?

By default the priority field is set as optional. To update this field to mandatory upon creation of tasks or task templates, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Go to your Avatar and select the 'Configuration Panel' option

  2. Go to the 'Maintenance' module

  3. Toggle the 'Require Priority on creation of tasks and task templates' option (See below image)
