Managing Tasks (Sydney Trains)

This help article serves as a guide on how to manage tasks for the following cases:

Manual Tasks - Legacy OAR Process

Managing old manual tasks that were created by the old OAR process can be done by following the below steps:


1. Select the Task module via the left hand side menu.

2. Select the "Open" tab to view all open tasks.

3. Click the "Show all filters" button to reveal all filters.

4. Click the "Task Origin" filter.

5. In the Task Origin dropdown filter select the "Manual" option.


Your Task module has now been setup to view only manually created tasks (Legacy OAR Process). Using this view you can view and open any manually opened task and action accordingly. Further instructions on actioning tasks can be found at the bottom of the help article.


Checklist Tasks - Onsite Process

Managing tasks created through the On-Site process can be done by following the below steps:


1. Select the Task module via the left hand side menu.

2. Select the "Open" tab to view all open tasks.

3. Click the "Show all filters" button to reveal all filters.

4. Click the "Task Origin" filter.

5. In the Task Origin dropdown filter select the "Checklist" option.


We recommend you use the following sorting / filtering functions to help organise and navigate your tasks:

  • Created By
  • Due Date
  • Date Created
  • Date Last Commented
  • Last Commented By


Your Task module has now been setup to only view tasks created by a Checklist (On-Site Process). Using this view you can view and open any checklist made tasks and action accordingly. Further instructions on actioning tasks can be found at the bottom of the help article.


RCI Tasks - Failed Risk Control Inspection Questions 

Managing tasks created through failed Risk Control Inspection questions can be done by following the below steps:


1. Select the Task module via the left hand side menu.

2. Select the "Open" tab to view all open tasks.

3. Click the "Show all filters" button to reveal all filters.

4. Click the "Task Origin" filter.

5. In the Task Origin dropdown filter select the "Risk Control Inspection" option.


We recommend you use the following sorting / filtering functions to help organise and navigate your tasks:

  • Created By
  • Assigned Users
  • Show Over Due Tasks
  • Show Only Tasks for Review
  • Date Last Commented
  • Last Commented By


Your Task module has now been setup to only view tasks created by a Risk Control Inspection (Failed Risk Control Inspection Questions). Further instructions on actioning tasks can be found at the bottom of the help article.


Escalating Tasks

If you believe you need to further escalate the task into a case, you can do so by following the below steps:

1. Open the Task

2. Select the below icon in the task to escalate the task into a case.
