What is offline mode?

Offline mode means you can perform and submit a checklist (Plant Pre-start for example) with no cellular coverage (3G,4G,5G). When you submit the checklist after completing it, it will stay in the aquipa App "Outbox" until you get back into a good coverage zone. When you open the App the Outbox (which contains the completed checklists) will upload to the cloud and sync your checklist data to your account.

When should I use offline mode?

When you have very poor/intermittent or no coverage to your mobile device. When in remote areas you may want to switch your phones Wifi and Mobile Data to OFF. This stops your phone going back and forth between no coverage and poor coverage which can affect offline or online mode from working efficiently.

What are the steps to setup offline mode?

  1. When connected to cellular or Wi-Fi, open the left hand side menu and select the "Sync Offline" button. You will be prompted at the bottom of your screen with a message stating the sync has been completed. Any modifications made to the system whilst connected to internet after syncing to offline will not be retained in offline mode. Offline mode will only recall information saved from when the sync offline was conducted.
  2. Once you no longer have access to cellular or Wi-Fi and you open the app you will have a heading stating you are unable to connect to the internet and offline mode is active.
  3. Opening the left hand menu again, only the Check In, Begin Plant Checklist, and Plant module's will be available. The Switch to User module is only visible and available to Aquipa staff. To perform a checklist on mobile, please see this help article: Perform a Pre-Start Checklist - Mobile device.
  4. Completing any activity whilst in offline mode will be issued to your outbox module and the activity will be uploaded once you have reconnected to cellular or Wi-Fi. The outbox module will become available in your left hand menu once activity has been detected whilst in offline mode.
