Pre-start checklists can be completed from a mobile device in Aquipa, allowing operators and other authorised users to complete the required checks against plant before work begins.
This guide explains how to complete a pre-start checklist and what to check if a form is not available when you expect it to be.
If you haven't already done so please download the Aquipa Mobile App from App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)]
Complete a pre-start checklist
There are three ways you are able to Begin a Checklist on your Mobile Device.
However the quickest way is to use the aquipa Mobile App to scan the QR Code on the aquipa Sticker, perform and submit the checklist.
Please see this video:
In summary you are able to perform a checklist by:
1. Scanning a Data Matrix Code / QR Code on the Registration Sticker :
Go to Menu icon ("Hamburger symbol") at top left of screen
Click on Scan QR Code > (Enable you camera for scanning) > Scan Code > Choose More Options > Checklist
Perform, complete and submit the checklist.
2. Begin Plant Checklist (a Menu Option)
Go to Menu icon ("Hamburger symbol") at top left of screen
Choose Begin Plant Checklist option in the Menu options
Choose the Checklist you want from Dropdown menu > Choose the Plant from dropdown menu
Perform, complete and submit the checklist.
3. Search for Plant:
Go to Menu icon ("Hamburger symbol") at top left of screen
Choose Plant option in the Menu options > click on the row of plant
Checklist (button - top right of screen)
Choose the Checklist you want from Dropdown menu > Perform & Submit
Why can't I see the pre-start form I need?
If a pre-start form is not appearing when expected, this is often due to the Form Access rules configured for that checklist.
When a checklist is created, your organisation can control when and where the form is available. This means not every pre-start form will necessarily be available for every plant, project or user.
Form Access can be restricted based on criteria including:
• Plant Type
• Internal Plant Type
• Plant Specifications
• Make and Model
• Tags
• Projects
• User Roles
Other Form Access conditions may also have been configured by your organisation.
For example, a checklist configured for a particular Plant Type or Project will only appear when the plant and user meet those Form Access conditions.
Check the Form Access settings
You will need permission to manage checklists within your Aquipa account to view or change how a form has been configured.
If you do not have this permission, contact an administrator for your organisation.
If you have the required permission:
Select Checklists from the left-hand menu.
Select Manage.
Find the checklist you want to review.
Select the three dots next to the checklist.
Select Edit.
Open Form Access.
Review the Form Access settings to confirm that the plant, project and user meet the conditions configured for the form.
If the form has been intentionally restricted, these settings explain why it may be available for some plant or users but not others.
Can I complete a pre-start checklist offline?
Yes. Aquipa supports completing checklists when your device does not have an internet connection.
If you know you will be working somewhere with limited or no connectivity, make sure the required information has been loaded on your device while you still have a connection.
When your device loses connectivity, Aquipa can operate in offline mode so you can continue completing supported checklists.
Complete the pre-start as normal while offline. The information will be stored on your device and can be synchronised with Aquipa once a connection is available again.
Before working offline
Where possible, open Aquipa go to account settings > options and Sync Offline Plant List this will allow your device to load the plant information you will require before travelling into an area with poor connectivity.
Still can't find the checklist?
If the required pre-start is still not appearing:
• Confirm you have selected the correct plant.
• Confirm the plant meets the checklist's Form Access requirements.
• Check whether access has been restricted by Plant Type, Internal Plant Type, Specification, Make and Model, Tags, Project or User Role.
• If you are offline, confirm the required information was loaded on your device before connectivity was lost.
• Speak with an administrator if you do not have permission to view the checklist configuration.
If the form should be available based on its Form Access settings but is still not appearing, contact Aquipa Support for assistance.
